Capabilities

What we build, and where we've already built it.

Seven areas of product engineering. Each one points at work that's already shipped: products in production, case studies and live tools.

01

AI and agentic systems

AI built into the work, with a person approving anything that acts outside the system.

  • Claude-powered pipelines for contract analysis, daily operational briefs and revenue-assurance assistants.
  • Voice, chat, WhatsApp and Teams agents, and AI outbound calling with a POPIA compliance pack.
  • A shared agent runtime across modules. Actions wait in a queue until a person presses Execute.
  • Cost and safety caps by design, e.g. the Telco Tools AI explainer runs under per-user and global limits.

02

Enterprise workflow platforms

Multi-tenant platforms that replace spreadsheets, paper and disconnected tools.

  • Shutdown and turnaround governance with gates, checkpoints, risk registers and schedule assurance.
  • Safety and permit-to-work with competency-gated approval chains, and contract intelligence with tracked-changes redlines.
  • One sign-in, per-tenant module licensing and row-level security on every tenant's data.

03

Mobile and field apps

Apps that do real work on the device, including where the network doesn't reach.

  • NetTrax handset agents on iOS, Android and BlackBerry, in production at mobile operators and reaching around 22,000 downloads by 2015.
  • TecTonix, an Android app for passive infrastructure asset tracking.
  • An offline-first field-inspection app, shipped as a signed Android app, that caches work and photos and syncs when back online.

04

Data platforms

Pipelines that reconcile, so the numbers on the screen can be trusted.

  • Revenue assurance on a hospital group's own finance exports, with ten monthly batches reconciled to the cent.
  • Contract tariffs loaded as data (6,457 rows across 22 funder agreements) and checked case by case.
  • A common data layer that keeps parties, assets and obligations consistent across modules, on PostgreSQL with one database per module.

05

Systems integration

Connecting software to the systems already running the business.

  • NetTrax events delivered over data or SMS through a mediation layer, hosted or inside an operator's own network.
  • A Redis event backbone, so an incident in one module can trigger a workflow or a message in another.
  • Single sign-on across the platform with Keycloak, and imports from customers' own exports and spreadsheets.

Telecom engineering

Where RanWorx started in 2010: radio access networks, testing and analysis.

  • NetTrax subscriber-experience monitoring, distributed worldwide by Ascom as TEMS MobileInsight.
  • NetCE automated lab and fixed-site testing, with phones driven over ADB. It became Digitata's CeRC.
  • RanWorx Telco Tools: 27 free tools with ITU-R and 3GPP formulas checked against the standards.

07

Operational intelligence

Seeing assets, risk and people across an operation in one place.

  • Asset registry with health scoring, remaining-useful-life estimates and threshold alerts.
  • Reliability engineering, safety and hazard assessments, ESG reporting and workforce fatigue.
  • Cross-module clash detection, e.g. a shutdown task against an open permit or a fatigued crew, queued for a person to decide.
